The Role
As a Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload from instruction through to conclusion, advising a broad client base on a range of contentious matters.
You will work closely with colleagues across the firm while maintaining responsibility for your own files and client relationships.
Your caseload will include
- Contractual disputes
- Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
- Property and boundary disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Company and partnership disputes
- Contested probate claims
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation and negotiation
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, court documents and correspondence.
- Representing clients in negotiations, mediation and court proceedings.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and managing expectations effectively.
- Recording time accurately and meeting billing objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm procedures.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members and support staff.
- Participating in networking, marketing and business development activities.
- Keeping up to date with changes in litigation law and procedure.
About You
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years' PQE, although candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
