We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with PLC-controlled equipment and driving continuous improvement.
If you're already programming PLCs, great. If your experience is mainly PLC fault finding and modifications and you're looking to develop further; this could be for you.
Control Engineer / PLC
Working as part of the engineering team, you'll support automation projects, improve production processes and provide technical expertise across a modern manufacturing site.
This is a Monday to Friday days role with a mixture of project work, system improvements and production support.
- You'll be involved in
- PLC fault finding, modifications and system improvements
- Supporting Allen Bradley control systems (Studio 5000)
- Automation and continuous improvement projects
- New equipment installation and commissioning
- Supporting production and maintenance teams with technical issues
- Working with external contractors on larger projects
- We'd like to hear from you if you have
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery within manufacturing
- Allen Bradley PLC experience would be ideal, although other PLC platforms will also be considered
- Electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience, or previous Controls Engineering experience
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential
