An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Engineering Manager to work for a blue chip multi-national FMCG manufacturing company based near Rochester, Kent. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and leading a team of 8-10 multi-skilled engineers in a very fast-paced production factory. The role will be 80% management and 20% hands-on, and the ideal candidate needs to have very strong man management and leadership skills. There would be career progression available into senior management roles for the right candidate.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading an engineering department within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
  • Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience within FMCG and process manufacturing.
  • Experience leading engineering projects and capital investment programmes.
  • Knowledge of high-speed industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and engineering compliance.
