This is an excellent opportunity to support the environmental assurance, technical handover and completion of major tunnels, bridges, viaducts and large-scale landscape restoration works.

Working alongside the Senior Environment Manager, you will review contractor submissions, undertake assurance visits and ensure environmental commitments and agreed mitigation measures have been delivered to the required standard. However, this is a broad environmental role, and candidates from specialist backgrounds including ecology, air quality, noise, water, carbon or environmental planning will be considered.

This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term progression across a nationally significant infrastructure programme, with excellent scope to broaden your technical knowledge and develop towards a Senior Environment Manager position.

  • Hybrid working, typically three days across the office and site with two days from home

  • Experience reviewing environmental documentation, compliance or contractor performance
  • Confident challenging contractors and dealing with potentially difficult stakeholders
  • Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely
