The Opportunity

Paradigm Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Residential Conveyancer on behalf of an established and highly regarded law firm in Wirral, Merseyside.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional looking to join a supportive, people-focused practice where client care, teamwork, professional development and employee wellbeing are genuinely valued.

You will take responsibility for your own residential property caseload, managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.

Importantly, you will be supported by a dedicated, full-time, office-based Conveyancing Assistant, allowing you to focus on progressing matters, advising clients and delivering an excellent service.

The firm offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience, alongside hybrid working following probation, generous annual leave, bonus opportunities and a strong range of employee benefits.

The Role

You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, providing clear, proactive advice and maintaining excellent communication with clients and all parties involved in the transaction.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to completion
  • Taking client instructions and providing clear, practical and timely advice
  • Reviewing and advising on searches, mortgage offers, surveys and ownership documentation
  • Drafting and finalising contracts, TR1s, SDLT documentation and associated conveyancing paperwork
  • Liaising with lenders, estate agents, solicitors and other parties throughout the transaction
  • Ensuring relevant lender requirements are satisfied
  • Coordinating exchange of contracts and completion
  • Monitoring key dates including mortgage expiry, exchange and completion deadlines
  • Completing client due diligence, conflict checks and ongoing matter risk assessments
  • Reviewing source of funds and source of wealth requirements
  • Advising on SDLT liabilities and any required indemnity policies
  • Completing post-completion requirements including SDLT payments and Land Registry applications
  • Keeping clients informed throughout their transaction and effectively managing expectations
  • Maintaining accurate case management, time recording and billing information
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant professional and regulatory obligations
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
  • Contributing to networking and business development activity where appropriate

About You

We are looking for an experienced conveyancing professional who is confident managing their own caseload and providing a high standard of client care.

You will ideally have

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload
  • Strong knowledge of the residential property transaction process
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • The ability to confidently manage client expectations
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the wider property market
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple transactions and deadlines

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience, together with a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Annual leave starting at 20 days and increasing depending on experience/PQE, with up to 25 days' annual leave
