Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with our key client based in Renfrewshire, a well-established, fast-paced operational business looking for an ACCA/CIMA qualified Management Accountant to join their Finance team. On offer is a strong salary and benefits package as well as hybrid working for this long-term FTC. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting close to the operational side of the business - not just reporting the numbers, but understanding what's driving them.

You'll take ownership of month-end reporting for direct operating costs, lead balance sheet reconciliations, and provide variance analysis that actually gets used by decision-makers. You'll also step into a leadership role, managing and developing a Finance Analyst, while working closely with the wider FP&A team and business partners across Operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning month-end reporting and variance analysis on operating costs, at both nominal and route/unit level
  • Leading balance sheet reconciliations for the Operations area, reviewing your Analyst's work and chasing down anomalies
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business case/investment appraisal work
  • Acting as the go-to point for supplier queries, disputed invoices, and credit notes
  • Managing and developing a Finance Analyst
  • Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and process improvement work across FP&A

What we're looking for:

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified, with solid post-qualification experience
  • Comfortable business partnering with non-finance stakeholders - you can translate the numbers into something people actually act on
  • Strong Excel/financial modelling skills
  • A proactive, detail-focused approach, but able to keep sight of the bigger picture
  • Prior exposure to a fast-paced operational environment is a bonus, but not essential

This is a business that moves quickly and expects a lot from its Finance function - but in return, you'll get real visibility, a genuine seat at the table with senior stakeholders, and a role where your analysis actually shapes decisions rather than just documenting them.
