As a Service & Repair Technician at Honeywell, in Redditch, you will be responsible for the strip, inspection, assembly and testing of complex hydraulic manifolds, reading technical drawings and test specifications, understanding the requirements and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in everything you do. This role is available due to internal promotion.
This position will be working at Honeywell Hymatic in Redditch, who are celebrating 88 years of trading this year.
Our working hours (total 37 hours per week) are:
- Mon to Thu 0800-1700
- Fri 0800-1200
This role is also eligible for overtime paid at a premium rate should you be willing to work additional hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Assemble, test and/or inspect components, or products in accordance with drawings or other specification requirements.
- Work effectively as an individual or as a team member to achieve the required quality, delivery and cost performance necessary to enable the business to satisfy customer orders.
- Maintain full records for each part of the process you are involved in.
- On completion of the product testing, assist the team to determine the success of the test.
- If testing has failed, aid in the diagnosis of failure modes, potentially related to the test equipment or the product, and identify next steps.
Key skills and qualifications:
- Full right to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship.
- Either hold a Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering, (or equivalent), or relevant experience with a good knowledge of high-pressure systems.
- Excel – Formula, lookups.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package, especially data handling in Excel.
