Our client, a reputable family-owned service centre located in Poole, Dorset, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop. This is a premier opportunity for a skilled professional who excels in vehicle diagnostics and heavy mechanics.

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostic assessments and identify faults accurately
  • Perform complex engine dismantling, rebuilds, and heavy mechanical repairs
  • Carry out gearbox, engine work, and engine assessments for diagnostic purposes
  • Utilise modern diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
  • Assist in ongoing technical development within the workshop
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction

Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong skills in engine dismantling and diagnostic procedures
  • Experience with engine repairs and other heavy mechanics
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work
  • Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance NVQ or equivalent qualification
