The opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Personal Tax Senior / Personal Tax Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. This is a hands-on personal tax compliance role supporting a varied portfolio of private clients and owner-managed businesses. You will need to work confidently and independently from the outset, managing your own workload while maintaining a high standard of client service.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing UK Self Assessment tax returns for a varied client portfolio
- Reviewing client records and identifying outstanding information
- Liaising directly with clients regarding their personal tax affairs
- Managing your own workload and meeting relevant deadlines
- Maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent client service
- Supporting the wider tax team when required
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members, where appropriate
Skills and experience
You will need:
- At least three years' recent experience preparing UK Self Assessment tax returns within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax compliance
- The ability to manage a portfolio with minimal supervision
The following would be advantageous:
- Five or more years' experience within an accountancy practice
- ATT qualification or current ATT studies
- CTA qualification
- Experience using Digita Personal Tax
