In this role, you will deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based teaching to Level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating apprentices. Working with small groups of up to 16 learners, you'll help develop their technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours while preparing them for successful careers within the industry.

No previous teaching experience is required. If you're coming straight from industry, you'll receive a structured introduction into the role with a reduced teaching timetable, alongside full support to gain your Level 3 and Level 4 Teaching Qualifications. You'll be mentored throughout your transition into education, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career away from site.

The Role

  • Deliver Plumbing & Domestic Heating training to Level 3 apprentices

  • Gain fully funded Level 3 and Level 4 Teaching Qualifications
  • Monday to Friday, 35-hour week (8:30am - 4:00pm)
  • Site-based role in Orpington

The Person

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Plumbing & Heating
  • ACS Gas qualifications and Unvented Hot Water qualification would be beneficial
  • Strong industry experience within Plumbing & Heating
  • Looking to build a long-term career within education
