Are you an engineer with experience in industrial controls, automation, instrumentation or project engineering looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects from design through to commissioning?
This is a great opportunity to join a global engineering and manufacturing business, working on a variety of projects across its manufacturing sites in the UK and internationally.
Rather than being focused on one specific area, you'll have the opportunity to get involved across the full project lifecycle, from developing designs and specifications through to procurement, installation and commissioning.
You'll be working alongside experienced engineers, contractors and suppliers, giving you exposure to a wide range of technical and project-based work.
The role also offers worldwide travel, providing the opportunity to work directly on site during installation and commissioning and see the projects you've worked on brought into operation.
This would suit an engineer from a Controls, Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical or Project Engineering background who enjoys getting involved in technical projects and wants to develop their experience further within a global engineering environment.
The Role
- Working on industrial controls, automation and instrumentation projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning.
- Producing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, cable schedules, instrumentation documentation and commissioning documents.
- Working with internal engineering teams, suppliers and contractors to manage equipment procurement, installation, project budgets and delivery timescales.
- Travelling worldwide to support installation and commissioning, while providing technical support and contributing to improvements across manufacturing sites.
The Person
- Experience in industrial controls, automation, instrumentation, electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
- Experience working on engineering projects, ideally involving design, installation, commissioning or site-based work.
- Good technical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and work with different teams.
- A relevant engineering qualification is preferred, and Chartered status or working towards it would be advantageous, but relevant experience will also be considered.
- Reference Number: BBBH278119
