We're looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our team at our Middleton Campus on a permanent, part-time basis. About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to learners studying Level 1 to Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualifications. Working with our full-time further education students, you'll help develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to succeed in the automotive industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality workshop and classroom-based teaching.
- Teaching a range of motor vehicle theory and practical subjects.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Promoting safe working practices within the workshop environment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle, Motor Mechanics or a closely related discipline.
- Recent industry experience within the automotive sector.
- Excellent practical and technical knowledge.
- A genuine enthusiasm for helping others develop their skills.
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering vocational qualifications.
- Previous experience working with young people or apprentices.
