We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our busy team in New Basford, Nottingham (NG5 1EA) and help drive ambitious growth across our exciting engineering and automation portfolio.

Duties: You will deliver sales growth by developing both new and existing business within your defined geographical area.

Using a consultative approach, you'll identify opportunities, build trust with customers, manufacturers and colleagues, and present solutions that add clear value to customers' industrial control and automation needs.

You'll balance prospecting with nurturing existing accounts, maintain a strong local presence at the BPX branch, and support marketing activities such as campaigns, promotions and events.

Above all, you'll commit to ongoing learning and development—growing both your technical knowledge and your commercial capability.

Business Development Executive Requirements

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally with knowledge of the industrial distribution market.
  • A track record of driving growth through new and existing accounts and partnerships.
  • Familiarity with the relationships and market dynamics between manufacturers, distributors and customers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with excellent communication and teamworking ability.
  • Organised and customer-centric, able to prioritise effectively and present practical, value-led solutions.
