  • Assist in the planning, execution and completion of external audit assignments
  • Support Audit Seniors and Managers throughout the audit process
  • Conduct audit fieldwork for a varied client portfolio across different sectors
  • Prepare audit working papers and documentation to a high professional standard
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
  • Identify and investigate audit risks and key areas of concern
  • Liaise directly with clients regarding audit queries and information requests
  • Support the completion of audit files and clearance of review points
  • Develop an understanding of client systems, controls and business processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development
  • Profile
  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified, or actively studying towards qualification
  • Recent experience within an accountancy practice audit role
  • Experience assisting on external audit assignments
  • Good understanding of audit methodology and International Standards on Auditing
  • Experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
