- Description
- Assist in the planning, execution and completion of external audit assignments
- Support Audit Seniors and Managers throughout the audit process
- Conduct audit fieldwork for a varied client portfolio across different sectors
- Prepare audit working papers and documentation to a high professional standard
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
- Identify and investigate audit risks and key areas of concern
- Liaise directly with clients regarding audit queries and information requests
- Support the completion of audit files and clearance of review points
- Develop an understanding of client systems, controls and business processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development
- Profile
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified, or actively studying towards qualification
- Recent experience within an accountancy practice audit role
- Experience assisting on external audit assignments
- Good understanding of audit methodology and International Standards on Auditing
- Experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP would be advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
