Clements Young Ltd is currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver / Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client. This is a varied role combining delivery driving, warehouse duties and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers, supporting warehouse operations and ensuring a high level of service at all times.
Duties will include:
- Driving a 7.5T vehicle delivering goods to customers
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely using manual handling techniques
- Operating a counterbalance forklift when required
- Completing delivery paperwork and recording deliveries accurately
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any faults
- Following all driver hours, working time and health & safety regulations
- Goods in and goods out duties
- Stock control and maintaining accurate records
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Supporting customers with enquiries and passing information to the relevant teams
- Working as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
What we're looking for:
- Full UK driving licence with valid CPC and Driver Qualification Card
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (accredited training provider within the last 5 years)
- Previous experience in driving, warehousing, distribution, agriculture or a similar environment is beneficial
- Good communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely
- Own transport required due to location
Pay: £14.57 per hour (PAYE Advanced – includes rolled-up holiday pay)
Working Hours: To be Discussed
Approx. 3 days per week during busier spring/summer periods reducing during quieter winter months
