Accounts Semi-Senior

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join a well-established accountancy practice.

This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career within a supportive team while working with a varied portfolio of clients.

The Role

Key responsibilities include

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
  • Preparing financial statements and management accounts.
  • Supporting audit assignments, including fieldwork where required.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong working relationships.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide a high standard of service.
  • Working alongside senior team members to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified.
  • Good working knowledge of Xero.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
