A successful food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a 4 on 4 off rotating Days & Nights shift pattern.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll work in a small team to ensure safety compliance, effective workload prioritisation, and consistently high production standards.
You'll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, guide and mentor your shift team to achieve operational excellence
- Deliver effective maintenance to ensure consistent, high-quality production
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime
- Monitor processes and equipment, reporting variances and taking corrective action
- Respond swiftly to unplanned breakdowns and maintenance events
- Support engineering projects, installations, and equipment modifications
Experience and skills required
- Qualified Engineer with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3
- Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical expertise (electrical bias preferred)
- Apprenticeship trained (ideally)
- Proactive problem-solver who supports production and continuous improvement
- Experience in food manufacturing would be advantageous
