As part of its continued expansion, it is now looking for an accomplished Commercial Account Executive who can create new opportunities, build a profitable portfolio and contribute to the next stage of its development.
The Opportunity
This is not a heavily controlled corporate sales role dominated by rigid processes, call targets and endless reporting.
You will be given the autonomy and support to develop business in the way that works best for you.
This could be through your existing network, introducer relationships, professional connections, sector expertise or proactive new-business activity.
You will work closely with an experienced Account Management team, allowing you to focus on winning business, developing client relationships and delivering high-quality commercial insurance advice.
The broker already has expertise across sectors including
- Transport and haulage
- Traffic management
- Property owners
- Private ambulance providers
- High-risk business travel
- Manufacturing
- Specialist commercial risks
The business is also open to someone who can introduce and develop a new niche or sector specialism.
Your Responsibilities
You will
- Identify and convert new commercial insurance opportunities
- Build and develop a profitable client portfolio
- Establish long-term relationships with business owners and decision-makers
- Conduct client meetings and detailed insurance reviews
- Provide advice across a broad range of commercial insurance products
- Work closely with Account Managers and insurers to deliver tailored solutions
- Develop introducer and professional-referral relationships
- Manage your pipeline and achieve agreed income targets
- Maintain high standards of compliance and record keeping
- Contribute ideas to the wider development of the business
- What We Are Looking For
You will need a strong background in commercial insurance broking, together with a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
We would particularly like to hear from candidates with
- Experience as a Commercial Account Executive, Client Director or Development Executive
- A successful track record in new-business development
- Strong knowledge of the UK commercial insurance market
- The confidence to build relationships with clients, insurers and introducers
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team
- A genuine commitment to exceptional client service
An existing portfolio, network of relationships or specialist market niche would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
The business is equally interested in ambitious Account Executives who have the drive, credibility and ability to build something substantial from the ground up.
Why Join?
You will benefit from
- Salary of £50,000 - £75,000, depending on experience
- Uncapped commission
- Flexible working arrangements
- Unlimited holiday
- 5% employer pension contribution
- Support towards CII qualifications
- Experienced Account Management and broking support
- Freedom to develop your own client portfolio
- Opportunity to establish or expand a specialist niche
- A relationship-led culture focused on long-term client outcomes
- Genuine influence over the future direction of the business
This is an excellent opportunity to move away from restrictive corporate structures and join an entrepreneurial broker where ambition is encouraged, strong performance is rewarded and clients remain at the centre of everything.
