We're recruiting on behalf of a successful international manufacturing and technology business seeking an experienced Group Accountant to join its finance team.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate group reporting, managing consolidations, and providing financial insight across a multi-site, international manufacturing operation.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a technically strong accountant with proven manufacturing experience who enjoys combining robust financial reporting with commercial support in a complex operational environment.
The Opportunity
This is a varied and highly visible position, giving you exposure to

Key Responsibilities
- Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare accurate and timely consolidated monthly management accounts.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
- Support reporting across multiple international entities and currencies.
- Assist with statutory reporting, year-end accounts, and external audits.
- Deliver financial analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making.
- Manufacturing Finance
- Support financial reporting within a manufacturing and engineering environment.
- Analyse manufacturing performance, margins, and operational costs.
- Monitor inventory valuations, stock controls, and working capital performance.
- Support cost accounting, project accounting, and profitability analysis.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to drive efficiencies and improve financial performance.
- Financial Planning & Contro
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Support cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the ongoing development of ERP and financial systems.
- Drive process improvements and reporting automation initiatives.
- Promote best practice and consistency across the finance function.
About You

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial business.
- Experience preparing group consolidations within a multi-entity environment.
- Exposure to multi-site and multi-currency operations.
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting expertise.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
