Are you an experienced Senior Probate Case Manager looking for a role where you can take ownership of complex probate cases whilst also supporting and mentoring others?

Our client is looking for an experienced probate professional to join their Legal team.

This is a varied and responsible role managing probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to final distribution, with the opportunity to work on complex and high-value estates.

The role of Senior Probate Case Manager

  • Manage a caseload of probate and estate administration matters, including complex and high-value estates.
  • Obtain Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration and prepare inheritance tax accounts and relevant HMRC documentation.
  • Identify, value and collect estate assets, prepare estate accounts and oversee final distributions.
  • Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, solicitors, financial institutions, accountants and other third parties.
  • Resolve issues relating to estate liabilities, trusts, tax and beneficiary disputes where appropriate.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and professional referrers, managing sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance and mentoring to Probate Case Managers and other colleagues, including supporting file reviews and quality assurance.

To be considered for the Senior Probate Case Manager role

  • Significant experience managing probate and estate administration cases.
  • Strong working knowledge of probate law, estate administration and inheritance tax procedures.
  • Experience handling complex estates and high-net-worth matters.
  • Excellent understanding of HMRC and Probate Registry requirements.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring others.
  • Excellent organisational and case management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident, professional and empathetic communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Salary and benefits for the Senior Probate Case Manager role

  • £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Remote or hybrid working arrangements.
  • Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm
