A growing and highly successful HVAC engineering business is seeking a Sales Manager to join the team in the Manchester area. The position holder will be joining the team in the North of England, based out of the Manchester area predominantly with further travel expected. This will be a highly important position to create and deliver a dynamic sales plan alongside senior managers and directors, supporting the engineering team to ensure that excellent customer service is provided and building exceptionally strong relationships with customers to promote further opportunities for business.
Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Sales Directors and other regional managers to create sales plans and targets, setting out clear resource planning, ensuring objectives are well communicated and that progress is monitored closely.
- Developing sales results and analytics of market trends, using sales metrics and quarterly and monthly results against targets, to support opportunities for further growth.
- Successfully delivering the growth sales plan, addressing any issues that arise on the way, consistently seeking ways to improve and ensuring that targets are met.
- Managing a portfolio of accounts, developing strong working relationships with these accounts which should prove profitable to the business, and utilising these relationships to increase sales in maintenance, repair and installation work.
- Working alongside a team of engineers to support this delivery to clients, seeking solutions to resolve technical issues which may arise from engineering callouts, which may include warranty matters, and ensuring that quality is maintained by attending site visits where it is required.
- Overseeing large and complex repair jobs, from inception to when the job is completed, ensuring that quality is maintained, that issues are mitigated and addressed and that the client is happy at all times.
What You Will Need To Apply:
Applicants must have proven experience in sales and account management, of many years. Also, applicants should possess excellent technical knowledge of HVAC related sales and engineering, and it would be beneficial to possess previous experience working within the HVAC industry. Exquisite communication skills are key to this role, and applicants should be confident delivering high levels of customer service, whilst solving problems as they arise and be able to negotiate to result in a beneficial outcome for both parties. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software, including field service management software is desired.
