A leading not-for-profit organisation with a strong presence across the UK is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

The organisation delivers essential community-focused services and manages a large operational workforce.

The business is undergoing continuous transformation and places significant emphasis on partnering with operational stakeholders to drive performance, value and service improvement.

Your new role
As Finance Partner, you will provide a high-quality business partnering service across operational functions, supporting financial control, performance improvement and strategic decision-making.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Partner, you will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering insightful financial analysis and challenging stakeholders to improve financial and operational performance.

You will work closely with senior managers and budget holders, helping them understand financial drivers, identify efficiencies and make informed business decisions.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder engagement across a range of non-finance teams.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support performance reporting and play a key part in driving commercial awareness across the organisation.

The role operates within a hybrid working pattern of three days per week onsite.

  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent CCAB qualification).
  • Proven Finance Business Partnering experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
  • Experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information for operational audiences.
  • Public sector or social housing experience is welcomed but not essential.
  • Ability to build relationships across operational functions and support business improvement initiatives.
