We're looking for an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join a well-established specialist engineering business covering Manchester and the wider North West.

The Role

As an Industrial Door Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding, repairs and installations on industrial doors and shutters at customer sites across Manchester and the wider North West.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
  • Installation and commissioning of industrial doors
  • Servicing and maintaining industrial door and shutter systems
  • Completing accurate service and job reports
  • Liaising professionally with customers on site
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Participating in the 1-in-5 call-out rota

About You

We're looking for an experienced engineer with a background in industrial doors, shutters or a similar field.

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience working on industrial doors and shutters (auto is a bonus)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Good knowledge of industrial door systems
  • Experience with servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A professional approach when dealing with customers
  • Good health and safety awareness
  • A full UK driving licence
