A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance Operations to lead a large-scale finance processing function during an exciting period of transformation and growth.

This is a pivotal leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape the future of a complex finance operation, drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives, and lead a sizeable team responsible for delivering critical financial processing activities across the business.

You'll be a proven finance operations leader with experience within a shared services or centralised finance environment, capable of balancing strategic change with operational excellence.

The Role

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you'll take ownership of a large finance processing function, ensuring service delivery, governance and performance standards are consistently achieved while driving the transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and developing large, multi-layered finance processing teams.
  • Driving operational excellence across high-volume transactional finance activities.
  • Delivering transformation programmes focused on automation, efficiency and process improvement.
  • Creating a high-performance culture centred on accountability, engagement and customer service.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
  • Managing operational budgets, resource planning and service performance.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Head of Finance Operations, Head of Shared Services, Head of Transactional Finance, Finance Service Delivery or similar leadership role.

  • A proven track record of leading business transformation, automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience driving performance through KPIs, service standards and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to lead through change and inspire teams to embrace new ways of working.
