Garage Manager Duties:

  • Oversee daily operations of the branch to ensure financial and operational targets are met
  • Support and lead a team of technicians, managing workloads and fostering team development
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality customer service standards
  • Manage customer interactions directly when required, providing face-to-face assistance
  • Address operational challenges promptly, offering technical and problem-solving support
  • Uphold health and safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Drive branch profitability through strategic planning and operational management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a garage or relevant automotive environment
  • Strong leadership abilities with a 'leader mentality'
  • Technical background with a good understanding of automotive systems preferred
  • Experience managing teams of 5-6 technicians
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet targets
  • Previous experience with an independent garage is desirable; dealership experience will also be considered
