Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Team Leader/Associate Civil Engineer to join their growing Civils & Infrastructure team in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys developing people, and driving project success.
Working across a variety of infrastructure projects, you'll lead a team responsible for the design of highways and drainage schemes, with a particular emphasis on drainage design, which forms the majority of the team's workload.
The Role
Responsible for leading a team of engineers while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
You'll play a key role in resource planning, mentoring team members, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects.
- Oversee the design of highways and drainage schemes, with a strong emphasis on drainage.
- Plan and coordinate resources across multiple projects.
- Attend resource planning meetings and contribute to project scheduling.
- Assist in fee management, project appointments, and service negotiations.
- Review and approve team timesheets and annual leave requests.
- Conduct regular team meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Support the professional and personal development of your team.
Ideal requirements
- Proven experience leading a Civil Engineering team.
- Strong background in civil infrastructure design, particularly drainage.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
