An expanding independent insurance brokerage is looking to appoint an Account Handler to join its specialist Business Solutions team, supporting the continued growth of its Technology & Life Science offering.

You'll work with innovative, scaling businesses across Saa S, software, digital health, biotech and Med Tech, delivering high-quality service and tailored insurance solutions in a fast-moving environment.

This is a hands-on role where you will support Account Executives, liaise with insurers and take ownership of the day-to-day management of complex commercial risks.

Responsibilities of the Account Handler

  • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and quotations, ensuring all information is gathered and processed accurately.
  • Reviewing client coverage to identify gaps and additional insurance requirements.
  • Producing accurate client reports and checking policy documentation to ensure suitability of cover.
  • Negotiating with insurers to secure appropriate and competitive terms.
  • Maintaining strong insurer relationships to support retention and growth.
  • Keeping client records and system data up to date while meeting internal service standards.
  • Working collaboratively with Client Managers and internal teams to deliver positive client outcomes.
  • Ensuring all activity complies with regulatory requirements and maintaining up-to-date market knowledge.

What we are looking for

  • A background commercial insurance account handling or client service experience within a brokerage, including exposure to complex risks.
  • Experience working with technology, life science, Saa S, digital health or other regulated businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of Professional Indemnity (ideally Tech PI/E&O), Cyber & Data Protection, D&O, and Employers' and Public Liability.
  • An understanding of renewals, client servicing processes and report writing.
  • Knowledge of Product or Clinical Trial Liability and Commercial Combined risks would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Acturis experience preferred.
