TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic, fast growing mid tier firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone with the recruitment of an Audit & Accounts Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and forward thinking practice that provides a varied mixture of audit, accounts and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses.

The firm has experienced impressive growth and is now looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to support its continued development.

You will manage a varied client portfolio, oversee audit and accounts assignments, and play an important role in developing both client relationships and junior members of the team.

The role

  • Managing a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients, acting as their main point of contact and developing trusted relationships with business owners, finance directors and senior management teams.
  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, including identifying key risks, developing the audit approach, reviewing files and presenting findings and practical recommendations to clients.
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Providing clients with broader commercial and advisory support, helping them understand their financial performance and improve their systems, controls and internal processes.
  • Managing workloads and resources across multiple assignments while coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior and qualified members of the team.
  • Working closely with the partners on complex assignments, client development, process improvements and the continued growth of the audit and accounts department.

Requirements

  • You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong experience gained within an accountancy practice.
  • You should have experience managing audit assignments and accounts work for owner managed businesses, alongside the confidence to manage client relationships and supervise junior members of staff.
  • Most importantly, you will be commercially minded, ambitious and keen to contribute to the continued growth of a successful firm.
