Marc Daniels are partnering with a FTSE-listed, market-leading organisation based in Maidenhead that is undergoing a period of rapid growth and transformation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team and play a key role in statutory reporting and performance analysis.

This is a 12 month FTC Maternity Cover which requires the candidate to either be immediately available or have a short notice period

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of key areas of financial reporting and support the month-end process, working closely with both Group Finance and commercial stakeholders.

You will be hands-on with statutory accounts preparation while also providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards, including IFRS 15
  • Supporting group reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and supporting schedules.
  • Detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, providing commentary and insight to senior management.
  • Partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders to explain results and drive performance.
  • Assisting with year-end audit, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of financial controls, reporting processes and systems in a fast-growing environment.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in statutory accounts preparation, ideally within a listed or large corporate environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS, with practical exposure to IFRS 15.
  • Proven experience producing management accounts and performing detailed variance analysis.
  • Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing, market-leading business.
