About the Opportunity We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Commercial Finance Analyst to join a growing Commercial Finance function at an exciting stage of its development.
Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Finance, this role will play a key part in supporting major projects, delivering commercial insights, and helping drive strategic decision-making across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant or up-and-coming finance professional looking to move into a highly commercial environment where they can gain exposure to senior stakeholders, large-scale projects, and business-critical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and commercial support across a range of strategic projects.
- Develop financial models to evaluate project performance, profitability, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with operational and project teams to support decision-making and investment activities.
- Analyse project costs, margins, forecasts, and business performance metrics.
- Deliver meaningful insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Identify project risks and provide analysis to support mitigation strategies.
- Assist with business cases, investment appraisals, and commercial evaluations.
- Produce accurate and insightful management reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial reporting, analysis, and financial processes.
About You We are looking for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working with operational stakeholders and influencing business decisions through data and insight.
Essential Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finalist close to qualification).
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Experience within commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering, or project-focused finance roles.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable commercial recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting projects within a start-up, scale-up, SME, or high-growth environment.
- Exposure to project accounting, project performance analysis, or capital investment decisions.
- Experience identifying and assessing commercial and project-related risks.
