Are you a Field Service Engineer, with a mechanical and electrical background, looking to join a growing manufacturer of specialist packaging machinery? On offer is the opportunity to join a UK market-leading supplier of liquid filling and capping machinery. The company designs, manufactures, installs and supports packaging equipment for the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

You will provide installation, servicing, maintenance and breakdown support on specialist packaging machinery at customer sites across the UK. Occasionally, you will travel to machine suppliers over in Italy. The role will involve diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control-system faults, as well as installing, commissioning and upgrading equipment. This role would suit a multi-skilled Field Service Engineer looking for long-term career development within a specialist engineering environment.

The Role

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on packaging machinery
  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control-system issues
  • Install, commission and set up new packaging machinery
  • Attending customer sites across the UK, with 1-2 nights away per week and occasional travel to Italy
  • Complete service reports, maintenance records and testing documentation
  • Monday to Friday

The Person

  • Experience working as Field Service Engineer
  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Full UK driving license
