The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Loughton, who are looking to appoint an experienced Mixed Tax Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio, whilst also playing a key role in developing advisory services and supporting junior team members. The Role

You will be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services across personal and corporate tax. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients including HNWIs, owner-managed businesses, and corporate entities
  • Reviewing and overseeing personal and corporate tax compliance
  • Providing tax planning and advisory services across a range of areas
  • Supporting with complex tax matters including CGT, IHT, and restructuring
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for additional services and business development
  • Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Working closely with Partners on ad-hoc advisory projects

About You

  • CTA qualified PQ CTA or ATT (or ACA/ACCA with strong tax experience)
  • Proven experience within a practice environment at Manager level or ready to step up
  • Strong technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax
  • Experience working with SMEs and HNW clients
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Commercially aware and proactive in approach
