Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer/Assessor to join a well-established Further Education provider on a temporary basis, with an expected duration of approximately 1-2 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate motor vehicle professional with teaching experience to support learners in developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom-based theory sessions and practical workshop training.
- Assess and support learners working towards Motor Vehicle qualifications.
- Provide high-quality teaching across a range of motor vehicle repair and maintenance topics.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Maintain a safe and effective learning environment within both classroom and workshop settings.
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Industry-relevant Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle.
- Teaching qualification
- Assessors qualification.
- Recent and relevant industry experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
- Experience delivering and assessing Motor Vehicle qualifications is desirable.
- Previous teaching experience within Further Education or training environments would be advantageous.
- Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of the knowledge and skills required to become an effective Motor Vehicle Technician.
Competence across a broad range of vehicle systems including
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical systems
- Transmission systems
- Mechanical systems
- Chassis and suspension systems
- Ability to deliver both theoretical and practical learning activities.
- Strong communication and learner support skills.
