A leading Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a US/UK Tax Manager to join its highly regarded Trust & Family Wealth team. This is a rare opportunity to work with a market-leading team advising on complex US-connected trusts, estates and international family wealth structures, while benefiting from genuine flexibility, including the option to work remotely from anywhere in the UK.

The Opportunity

As a US/UK Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of US-connected trusts and estates, managing both compliance and advisory matters while working closely with senior leadership on sophisticated planning projects. The role offers a strong balance of technical advisory and client management responsibilities, with significant exposure to complex cross-border issues involving US and UK tax interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of US-connected trust and estate clients
  • Advising on income, gains and asset holdings within trust structures
  • Delivering a blend of compliance and highly technical advisory work
  • Working on complex cross-border tax and treaty-related matters
  • Supporting and developing junior team members
  • Managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service
  • Collaborating closely with Directors and Partners on significant client projects

About You

You'll likely be:

  • Operating at Manager level, or be a strong Assistant Manager ready for promotion
  • Experienced in US/UK trust and estate taxation
  • Comfortable managing client relationships and complex technical matters
  • Interested in a role that offers both advisory and compliance exposure
  • Keen to develop junior team members and contribute to team growth
  • Qualifications such as EA, ATT, CTA and/or STEP are highly desirable, although strong single-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
