About the Company:

A well-established London Market insurance and reinsurance broker is looking to strengthen its Operations function with an experienced technical insurance professional. The business works across complex insurance and reinsurance risks and offers an environment where strong market knowledge, technical expertise and effective relationships with broking, claims and operational teams are highly valued.

Role Summary:

This is an opportunity for an experienced London Market technical processing professional to move away from day-to-day processing and into a broader Operations and systems-focused position. You will become a key point of contact for OpenTWINS across the business, supporting broking, technical and claims teams with advice, troubleshooting and best practice. You will also take an active role in quality assurance, system improvements and the delivery of OpenTWINS upgrades, hotfixes and configuration changes. The position would particularly suit someone who understands how technical processing operates in practice and now wants to use that experience to influence processes, systems and operational standards across a wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • OpenTWINS Support: Act as a subject matter expert for business users, resolving queries and helping teams get the most from the platform.
  • Technical Assurance: Monitor exception and outlier reporting to identify issues and help maintain strong processing and housekeeping standards.
  • System Development: Support the configuration and ongoing improvement of OpenTWINS functionality around changing business requirements.
  • Change Delivery: Coordinate testing and implementation of OpenTWINS upgrades, hotfixes and system changes, giving you ownership of projects from testing through to sign-off.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with broking, technical, claims, Operations and IT teams to ensure issues and system developments are communicated effectively.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with the platform provider around defects, testing outcomes and required changes, helping drive issues through to resolution.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the London insurance market and its technical processing environment.
  • Practical experience using OpenTWINS, ideally across policy processing and related workflows.
  • Understanding of how insurance broking, technical and claims teams interact with policy processing systems.
  • Ability to investigate processing or system issues and explain solutions clearly to business users.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credible relationships across Operations, IT and front-office teams.
  • Experience contributing to system testing, upgrades, process improvements or change projects would be highly relevant.
