Robert Half are partnering with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial drinks business to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst into a newly evolving finance function. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad and commercially focused role covering financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, financial modelling and business partnering across a growing group of drinks manufacturing and distribution businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong FP&A experience and a background in food or drink manufacturing who is looking to take on a genuinely progressive role. A key focus of the position will be using AI, automation and Power BI to improve the way FP&A operates, while retaining strong traditional financial analysis and commercial judgement.

About the Position

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly financial reporting across the Group, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and production standard costs.
  • Producing detailed analysis of sales, gross profit, margins and operating costs by channel, customer, category, brand and SKU.
  • Preparing management reporting packs with clear commentary on actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting across the Group.
  • Building and maintaining financial models covering P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Providing insightful analysis on key variances, risks and opportunities and working with management teams to identify appropriate actions.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to Commercial, Operations and wider management teams, turning financial analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards covering trading, distillery and other business activities.
  • Supporting cash flow reporting and highlighting potential opportunities, risks and funding requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate recurring FP&A and reporting processes, using AI and other technology where appropriate.
  • Supporting finance systems, reporting and AI implementation projects across the business.
  • Developing practical AI-driven solutions, templates and models to improve the speed and efficiency of FP&A processes.
  • Using market, competitor and commercial data to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks across international markets.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Proven FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Experience within the food or drinks manufacturing sector is essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Power BI experience, particularly around data modelling, dashboards and reporting.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or similar within finance workflows would be highly advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in using AI and automation to improve traditional FP&A processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial and Operations.

Here's What's Waiting for You

  • Up to £65,000 salary depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working from the London office.
  • A broad Senior FP&A Analyst role with significant exposure to the Finance Director and wider management team.
  • The opportunity to work within an exciting and growing drinks manufacturing and distribution group.
  • A genuinely progressive finance environment where AI, automation and technology are being actively embraced.
  • The opportunity to develop sophisticated reporting, financial modelling and Power BI capabilities.
  • Significant scope to influence and improve existing FP&A processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
  • A role combining traditional FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering and emerging AI technology.

Why This Role Could Be Your Next Move

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong FP&A experience who wants to move into a role where they can have a genuine impact. You'll play a key role across budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, reporting and commercial analysis, while also helping shape how AI and automation are used within the finance function.

For someone from a food or drinks manufacturing background who is commercially minded, and genuinely interested in how AI can improve finance, this offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of how a growing business develops its FP&A capability.
