Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a leading specialist accountancy firm in the recruitment of a Senior Bookkeeper or Business Services Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised firm specialising in the entertainment, media, sport and creative industries. Working with an impressive portfolio of high-profile clients, you will manage your own client portfolio while delivering high-quality bookkeeping, VAT and business management services within a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients across the entertainment, media, sport and creative sectors
- Prepare bookkeeping records and process VAT returns for a varied client base
- Liaise directly with clients, agents, managers and other professional advisers
- Reconcile agency statements and assist with withholding tax (WHT) matters
- Process payrolls where applicable (experience beneficial)
- Ensure clients receive a proactive, confidential and high-quality service
- Support and review junior team members as the role develops
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience within an accountancy practice in a bookkeeping or business services role
- Strong bookkeeping and VAT experience
- Experience using Xero (Sage experience also beneficial)
- Knowledge of UK VAT and PAYE, with WHT experience advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with high-profile clients
- Organised, discreet and able to manage multiple client assignments simultaneously
- Previous experience working with entertainment, media or sports clients would be advantageous
