Opportunity for a mid-level Associate to join a leading international law firm in London, specialising in Projects.

The firm is a highly regarded international law firm with an outstanding reputation for advising organisations operating across technology, infrastructure, regulated industries and major commercial markets. Known for its collaborative international platform and sector-led approach, the firm advises multinational corporations, government bodies and high-growth businesses on complex, high-value and often transformative projects across the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will join a market-leading Projects team within a large commercial practice, working alongside recognised specialists advising on complex infrastructure, construction and government contracting matters. The team acts for a broad range of public and private sector clients across sectors including energy, transport, defence, digital infrastructure, utilities and telecommunications, with significant cross-border collaboration across the firm's international offices.

The firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its growing Projects team. Working closely with leading partners and colleagues across the Infrastructure, Projects & Procurement Group, the successful candidate will play a key role in advising on a broad range of UK and international projects while supporting the continued growth of the firm's Projects & Government Contracting practice in London. This will include:

  • Advising on a broad range of projects matters, including infrastructure projects, PPP/PFI and long-term government contracts
  • Drafting and negotiating complex project and commercial contracts
  • Advising government and public sector bodies, contractors, suppliers, lenders and financial institutions on major projects
  • Supporting transactional, advisory and regulatory aspects of complex projects
  • Advising across a range of asset types and sectors, including transport, energy, utilities, social infrastructure and defence
  • Working closely with colleagues across multiple international offices on cross-border mandates
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping build the firm's dedicated Projects & Government Contracting practice

Required:

  • UK qualified Solicitor with 2 - 4 PQE
  • Strong experience in projects, government contracting, procurement and/or public law gained within a leading law firm, in-house legal team or government legal department
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex project documentation, including NEC, FIDIC and/or PPP/PFI forms of contract
