An established manufacturing business is looking for an experienced, hands-on finance professional to come in initially on a project basis to review and strengthen its finance function. The business is going through a period of change and growth, and needs someone who can quickly get under the skin of the current finance set-up, identify where improvements are needed and put stronger processes and controls in place.
The initial project will focus on:
- Reviewing the current finance function, processes and reporting
- Supporting the implementation of a new accounting system
- Improving controls, processes and overall financial discipline
- Reviewing the quality and accuracy of management information
- Working closely with the existing finance team to ensure new processes are properly embedded
- Identifying any gaps within the current structure and recommending improvements
- Providing senior-level financial support and insight to the wider business
They're looking for someone who is very hands-on and comfortable getting into the detail, but who also has the experience and gravitas to operate at FC/FD level and work closely with the senior leadership team. The initial requirement is expected to be around 4–5 weeks, predominantly on site in Greenford, but there is a genuine opportunity for this to develop into a longer-term/permanent Group Financial Controller / Head of Finance level position as the business continues to grow.
