Insure Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and rapidly growing UK insurance organisation to recruit an experienced Insurer Relationship Manager.

This opportunity offers the chance to join a market-leading, well-backed business - one of very few in the market growing at this pace - where you'll take real ownership of strategic insurer partnerships, drive commercial performance and directly influence how the business grows across a diverse insurance portfolio.

If you're a commercially astute insurance professional who combines strong London Market and Commercial Insurance experience with first-class relationship skills and a genuine passion for using data - and modern tools like AI - to make better business decisions, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an outstanding next step for an experienced relationship or market manager ready to operate with autonomy and take on significant responsibility from day one.

The Opportunity

As an Insurer Relationship Manager / Market Manager, you'll manage and develop strategic insurer relationships while using commercial insight, market intelligence and performance analysis to maximise trading opportunities.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape insurer strategy, identify profitable growth opportunities and strengthen partnerships with leading insurance providers.

Because the business is growing quickly and the team is lean, you'll be trusted to run with things independently -this is a role for someone who can hit the ground running, not one that comes with lengthy hand-holding.

It's ideal for someone who enjoys combining relationship management with commercial analysis, is confident working with large and complex datasets, and embraces technology and AI as ways to work smarter and add real business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with insurer partners.
  • Analyse insurer performance, trading results and profitability.
  • Produce commercial reporting and performance insights using advanced Excel and management information.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve insurer performance.
  • Support and lead commercial negotiations with insurer partners.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Use market intelligence and data to support strategic decision making.
  • Lead insurer review meetings and present commercial recommendations.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and insurer trends.
  • Use modern tools - including AI - to drive efficiencies and unlock business value.
  • Resolve operational and trading challenges collaboratively.
  • Support strategic business improvement projects.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and regulatory changes.

About You

We're looking for an experienced insurance professional with a strong commercial mindset, sharp analytical skills and the confidence to operate at a senior level.

You'll ideally have

  • Strong Commercial Insurance experience, with good knowledge of the London Market and insurer trading relationships.
  • Experience managing insurer or broker relationships and holding strategic, senior-level conversations.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and a clear, results-focused mindset.
  • Outstanding analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work confidently across large, complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analysing trading data, KPIs and management information.
  • A strategic, analytical thinker who can turn data into clear commercial recommendations.
  • A modern approach to technology - comfortable embracing AI to drive efficiency and deliver value.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, and take genuine ownership, in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Whatever your background, proven experience of building and managing insurer relationships is essential — that's the heart of the role. This would suit someone from:

  • Insurer Relationship Management
  • Market Management
  • Commercial Relationship Management
  • Distribution Management
  • Strategic Partnerships
  • Insurance Broking
  • Commercial Insurance
  • London Market Insurance
  • MGA
  • Lloyd's Market
  • Working & Location

Hybrid working, with approximately three days per week in the London office and genuine flexibility around the rest.

Limited client travel (typically around once a month); no driving required.

A supportive, collaborative team that genuinely values work-life balance.

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful insurance business that continues to invest in its people, technology and insurer partnerships.

You'll work alongside senior leaders, influence commercial strategy and play a significant role in developing long-term insurer relationships as the business continues to grow.

No two days are the same, and you'll sit right at the heart of what the business is doing strategically and commercially - with continual challenge, development and genuine career progression across multiple areas of the insurance market.

  • Salary & Benefits
  • Highly competitive basic salary (DOE)
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Annual salary reviews
  • Hybrid working (approximately three days per week in the London office)
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional birthday leave
  • Additional religious holiday
  • Matched 5% pension contributions
  • Flexible benefits package
  • Group Life Assurance
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Professional qualifications and study support
  • Holiday purchase scheme
  • Retail and lifestyle discounts
