Role Overview

An independent Lloyd's Broker, are now actively seeking a Technician who is looking to further develop their technical expertise within the London insurance market.

This is a varied and engaging role, offering exposure to a broad range of classes of business and insurance types, ensuring no two days are the same.

A background in binders is essential, and previous DCOM experience is required.

Full mentoring and support will be provided for any areas that fall outside of the successful candidate's current experience.

This role ensures timely and precise handling of premium accounting activities across multiple classes of business and territories, supporting both internal stakeholders and external partners including underwriters, insurers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and maintain binder information on DCOM.
  • Manage annual compliance activity via Atlas.
  • Submit FDOs to Xchanging accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Allocate incoming premium efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure premiums are paid to markets in a timely manner.
  • Process premium bordereaux and associated documentation.
  • Submit premium bordereaux to Xchanging as required.
  • Respond to and resolve Xchanging queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and market contacts.
  • Support premium processing across other insurance types, including Open Market, Lineslips, Treaty and Excess of Loss business.

About You

  • 2 + years of experience within a technical processing role in the Lloyd's and London Market
  • Experience in using DCOM, Atlas and Xchanging
  • Ability to meet tight and accurate deadlines
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail skills
  • Can work independently or as part of a team
