Head of Finance

Are you a commercially minded finance leader looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing international business?

We're exclusively partnering with an ambitious, founder-led consumer business operating across the UK and Europe to recruit a Head of Finance.

This is a high-profile leadership role where you'll work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, helping shape business strategy while leading an established finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing decisions, partnering with stakeholders across the business and driving commercial performance, rather than simply producing the numbers.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the finance function across multiple European entities, leading financial planning, reporting, commercial analysis and strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities include

  • Partnering with senior leadership to drive commercial performance and profitability.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across multiple entities.
  • Producing insightful board reporting, KPIs and financial analysis.
  • Overseeing statutory accounts, audits, tax compliance and financial controls.
  • Driving systems, ERP and reporting improvements.
  • Managing cashflow and supporting investment decisions.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing an established finance team.
  • Building strong relationships across manufacturing, supply chain and operational teams throughout Europe.

About You

You'll be an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong commercial instincts and experience operating in a senior finance leadership position.

You'll ideally bring

  • 10+ years' post-qualified experience.
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, Head of Finance or Senior FP&A professional.
  • Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience.
  • Multi-entity reporting experience.
  • Excellent forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to operate strategically and operationally.

Experience within manufacturing, retail, consumer products or another product-led environment would be highly advantageous, as would exposure to international businesses, ERP implementations and finance transformation projects.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing international business at an exciting stage of its journey.

You'll enjoy genuine influence over business decisions, exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape the future of the finance function while developing your own career.

If you're looking for a commercially focused Head of Finance opportunity where you can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
