We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foot Mobile Engineer to join a rapidly growing building services provider, covering a portfolio of commercial properties across the City of London and West End.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of their own sites, build strong client relationships, and play a key role in delivering high-quality building maintenance services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial properties, ensuring all systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and statutory compliance checks.
- Complete emergency lighting testing and any required remedial works.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and three-phase electrical systems.
- Ensure site logbooks, maintenance records, and compliance documentation are kept accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with contractors and coordinate works where required.
- Respond professionally to client requests and ensure a high level of customer service.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of each site.
- Take ownership of the properties within your portfolio and maintain consistently high service standards.
Requirements
- Fully qualified in either electrical installation or a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.
- Previous apprenticeship training is desirable.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and commercial maintenance procedures.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Professional approach with excellent communication and customer service skills.
