HFG are currently partnering with a leading international insurance business to recruit a Finance Operations Senior Manager for their London team. This is a senior operational leadership position with responsibility across Accounts Payable, Treasury and Credit Control, alongside helping to modernise and improve how the wider finance operations function works. The role will suit someone who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and getting involved in broader finance transformation rather than purely managing BAU activity.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team across Finance Operations
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable and ensuring supplier and expense payments are managed effectively
  • Supporting Treasury activity including cash flow, liquidity and banking processes
  • Working closely with Credit Control and cash teams to improve performance and visibility
  • Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve them
  • Supporting wider finance transformation and change projects
  • Strengthening controls and helping to create more consistent ways of working
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
  • Helping the function become more scalable, efficient and technology-led

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Strong experience within Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, P2P or transactional finance
  • Proven direct line management experience
  • Exposure to Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Treasury
  • Experience delivering change, transformation or process improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working within a sizeable or complex finance function
  • Exposure to finance systems, automation or workflow improvements
  • A recognised accounting qualification would be preferred, as would experience within insurance or wider financial services, however the business is open to strong candidates from other sectors where the core Finance Operations and leadership experience is transferable.

This could suit an experienced Senior Finance Operations Manager, Head of Accounts Payable, Transactional Finance Manager or P2P leader looking for a broader role with genuine ownership and change responsibility.
