A growing, people-focused consultancy business with an impressive client portfolio and a strong reputation within the architecture, engineering & design world is looking to appoint a commercially minded Finance Manager / Senior Project Accountant to support project performance, financial planning, and decision-making across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, influencing commercial decisions, and working in a project-led environment.

Your new role

  • Producing monthly Management Accounts and reporting on projects
  • Reporting and analysing profitability, WIP, project costs, utilisation rates and operational KPIs to identify opportunities and risks
  • Business partnering with project leads and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance
  • Managing the end-to-end accounting processes for multiple projects
  • Reviewing project profitability, budgeting, forecasting and revenue recognition
  • Supporting month-end reporting and providing insightful variance analysis
  • Challenging and influencing stakeholders to improve project outcomes and financial performance
  • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Delivering meaningful financial information to support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Driving continuous improvement across financial controls, reporting and project accounting processes

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Experience in a Finance Manager, Project Accountant, Commercial Finance or Business Partnering role
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities
  • Prior experience within a consultancy, professional services, project-based or people-led environment would be advantageous
  • Commercially focused with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insight
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
