We are recruiting on behalf of an established and highly regarded multidisciplinary London law firm seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its busy and growing Family Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor with strong private family law experience, particularly within high-net-worth and complex financial matters.
The firm has an established flow of client enquiries, providing the successful solicitor with an excellent platform to develop their caseload and build strong, long-term client relationships.
The role will be based primarily in Chancery Lane, with flexibility required to work from the firm's East Ham office when needed.
The Role You will manage a varied private family law caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Complex and high-value financial remedy proceedings
- Property portfolios, business interests, trusts and pensions
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
- Child arrangements and contested proceedings
- Cohabitation disputes and separation agreements
- Injunctions and protective orders
- International and cross-border family matters
Alongside managing your caseload, you will conduct initial client consultations, build strong relationships with prospective clients and convert enquiries into instructions.
You will be expected to work towards agreed billing and revenue targets while maintaining excellent standards of legal advice and client care.
About You To be considered, you should
- Be a qualified Solicitor admitted to practise in England & Wales
- Hold a valid SRA Practising Certificate
- Have strong private family law experience
- Have experience handling complex financial remedy matters
- Ideally have experience advising high-net-worth clients
- Be confident managing your own caseload
- Have excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills
- Be commercially aware and comfortable working towards billing targets
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work onsite across Chancery Lane and East Ham when required
Experience in Legal Aid family work, international family matters or an existing referral network would be advantageous but is not essential.
