As an Electrical Engineer, you will be tasked with ensuring the efficiency of electrical plant equipment on site, carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance, actively troubleshoot / fault find, work as part of a team and ensure the client on site is satisfied with the service provided.
Electrical Shift Engineer Duties:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair tasks
- Work on single and three-phase electrical systems, including motors, emergency lighting, fire alarms, pumps, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Safely isolate equipment and systems when necessary to carry out work
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with current regulations and industry standards
- Consistently follow and promote safe working practices and procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and site logbooks
- Use PDA systems to manage workflow, including job allocation, updates, and closures
Electrical Shift Engineer Requirements:
- Fully qualified within Electrical Engineering / Installations (City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent) with electrical regulation qualifications
- Minimum of at least 3 years within commercial building services
- Great knowledge of commercial electrical equipment
- Client facing attitude
