We are working with a Specialist Lloyd's Broker who are looking to hire a Junior Facultative Cross-Class Broker Technician to join their specialist Reinsurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2nd jobber with around 6 months+ insurance experience who is looking to develop their technical knowledge within Facultative Reinsurance and work across a range of specialty classes.
The Role
- Support the broking team with the day-to-day technical and administrative aspects of Facultative Reinsurance placements, gaining exposure to a variety of specialty classes and working closely with experienced brokers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting brokers with the preparation and processing of Facultative placements
- Assisting with slips, endorsements and other market documentation
- Processing and maintaining accurate policy and placement information
- Liaising with brokers, clients and underwriters where required
- Supporting the team with renewals and new business
- Ensuring documentation is accurate and completed within required timescales
- Developing knowledge of Facultative Reinsurance and the wider Lloyd's market
About You
- Around 6 months' experience within the insurance industry
- An interest in Reinsurance, particularly Facultative
- Ideally some exposure to technical, broking or processing activities
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist London Market environment
