McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top10 Accountancy Practice who are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their growing team in Central London. Reporting to the Tax Partner, the role would ideally suit an ATT or CTA or ACA qualified tax specialist from a Top100 or Regional Accountancy practice, or Tax Boutique.
You will be managing junior members of the team and helping to grow the department, undertaking business development activities to grow the Corporate Tax service line, and you should be able to demonstrate strong transactions tax expertise.
Key duties include:
- Reviewing complex corporate tax returns within agreed service levels and quality standards, identifying additional tax planning opportunities
- Alongside the Partner, leading work on UK and cross-border tax transactions projects and dealing directly with clients
- Generating new leads and winning new tax compliance and advisory work
- Assisting with the portfolio of owner-managed businesses through to UK and international corporates (typically £20m - £300m turnover)
- Dealing with complex business tax queries on behalf of clients, and preparing client meeting notes for Tax Partners
- Planning and reviewing work carried out by team members and recruitment for the Tax team
- Developing tax efficient structures and assisting with corporate reorganisations for tax planning purposes
- Liaising directly with clients at C-suite level regarding all business tax matters
- Identifying changes in UK legislation and how this may impact client portfolios
- Ensuring the quality of corporate tax transaction work is completed to agreed cost and timescales
To be considered for the role, you should ideally be seeking a move to an accounting practice/firm where wider responsibilities and a broader client base will be made available. In-depth knowledge and experience of transactions tax is required, along with tax advisory expertise and managing diverse client portfolios. You should be a strong staff manager, a coaching and training expert, have a passion for business development and be able to manage multiple tax issues.
On offer is a salary up to £95,000 depending on relevant experience, excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, pension scheme and healthcare.
