A leading Top 20 accountancy firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing Corporate Tax team, with the flexibility to be based across London, Kent or Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax professional looking for a genuinely varied role, offering an attractive 50% advisory / 50% compliance split and exposure to an impressive portfolio ranging from entrepreneurial growth businesses and larger corporates through to multinational groups, FCA-regulated companies and AIM-listed PLCs.

The Corporate Tax team consists of around 25 professionals and forms part of a much wider tax practice, offering excellent technical support, progression and the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and senior specialists.

The Role

You will manage a varied portfolio of UK and internationally connected corporate clients, taking responsibility for both complex compliance and advisory assignments. The advisory side is particularly broad, with recent projects including reorganisations, demergers, M&A due diligence, business sales, loan relationships, EIS, R&D tax relief and employee share schemes. You will review Corporation Tax returns and computations, advise clients on tax-efficient structures and planning opportunities, and act as a key point of contact for a number of the firm's major clients. There will also be opportunities to work on international tax matters and collaborate with colleagues across an international network. At Manager level, you will play an important role in supporting, training and mentoring junior members of the Corporate Tax team.

The Ideal Candidate

You will ideally be CTA qualified or qualified by experience, with strong experience in UK Corporate Tax gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment. You should be comfortable managing Corporate Tax compliance work while also having exposure to advisory assignments and direct client relationships. Experience across international tax areas such as double taxation relief, tax treaties, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation or CFCs would be advantageous but is not essential, with further training and support available.

What's On Offer?

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to step into a broad Corporate Tax Manager position without becoming heavily compliance focused. The firm offers hybrid working with three days in the office and two from home, flexible working, excellent benefits and clear long-term progression opportunities. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to spend around 50% of your time on advisory work, working alongside senior tax specialists on increasingly complex assignments while continuing to develop your own client portfolio.
